- Unroll puff pastry, discarding the wax paper, then place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. (TIP: If pastry is sticky, coat your hands with some flour!)
- Place baking sheet with puff pastry in the freezer for 5 min while you prep remaining ingredients.
- Slice brie into 1/4-inch slices.
- Beat egg with 1 tsp water in a small bowl. (NOTE: This is your egg wash.)
- Remove baking sheet with puff pastry from the freezer. and spread cranberry spread down the center.
- Evenly spread cranberry spread, lengthwise, across the middle of puff pastry. Leave a 1/2-inch border at the top and bottom.
- Arrange brie slices horizontally on top of cranberry spread.
- Starting with your knife to the right of cranberry and brie filling, make cuts moving your knife towards the lengthwise edge of pastry to create four 2-inch-wide strips. Repeat on the left side of filling.
- Alternating strips from right and left sides, fold pastry strips over filling to cover. (TIP: For best results, make sure strips overlap and tuck the ends underneath the braid for a neater look!)
- Brush sides and top of pastry with egg wash, then sprinkle 1/8 tsp salt over top.
- Bake in the middle of the oven for 10 min.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 400ºF and continue to bake until pastry is golden-brown and cheese is melted, 20-30 min.
- Remove from the oven and allow puff pastry braid to cool on the baking sheet for 5-8 min on a wire rack.
- Transfer puff pastry braid to a serving platter.
- Cut puff pastry braid into strips and serve.
