Prep: Wash and dry all produce. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Remove the sausage from the casings.
Boil the pasta: Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water (or 1 cup for 4 people).

Cook the broccolini: Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the broccolini and cook, tossing for 3-5 minutes, until tender. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Cook the sausage: Heat another drizzle of oil in the same pan over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook, breaking up the meat into pieces for 4-5 minutes, until browned and cooked through. Add a pinch of chili flakes to the pan (if desired) and cook for 30 seconds more.
Finish and serve: Add the pasta, broccolini, parmesan cheese, pasta water and pesto to the pan and toss to combine. Cook, tossing for 1-2 minutes, until saucy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
