Utensils

•Large Pot

Cooking Steps

1
  • Before starting, pre-heat a heat-size pot over medium-high heat.
  • Wash and dry produce.
  • Core, then cut pepper into 1/4-inch pieces.
  • Minced or grate garlic.
  • Juice half the lemon (whole lemon for 4 servings). Cut any remaining lemon into wedges.
2
  • Add 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) oil to pot, then turkey. Cook 3-4 min, breaking up turkey into smaller pieces, until no pink remains.** Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add garlic, pepper, Italian Herb Spice Blend (use all for 4 servings). Cook for 2 mins, stirring often.
3
  • Add orzo. Cook for 1 min, stirring.
  • Add tomato sauce, pesto, cream and 2 cups (4 cups) water. Bring to a simmer and stir to combine.
  • Once simmering, reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and cook for 10-12 mins, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid is absorbed and orzo is tender. (TIP: It's important to stir from time to time, so the orzo does not stick to the pot.)
4
  • To orzo, add 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) butter, half the parmesan, lemon juice and spinach to pot. Season with salt and pepper, then stir to combine.
5
  • Divide Marry Me Turkey Orzo between bowls.
  • Sprinkle remaining Parmesan on top.
  • Squeeze lemon over top, if desired.
