Sugar Shack Maple Waffles
with Maple Chantilly Cream and Fresh Fruit Salad
This recipe doesn't shy away from maple! These crisp waffles have maple baked right into them, then get topped with a melt-in-your-mouth maple chantilly cream. Served with a fresh fruit salad with just a hint of orange zest, this is the perfect easy brunch to whip up on a laid-back weekend.

- Peel, then cut kiwi into 1/2-inch pieces.
- Peel, core, then cut apple into 1/2-inch pieces.
- Halve grapes.
- Zest, then juice half the orange. Cut remaining orange into 1/-2-inch pieces.
- Combine orange juice, half the orange zest and 1 tsp maple syrup in a large bowl, then whisk to combine. Add kiwi, grapes, apple and orange pieces, then toss to combine. Set aside in the refrigerator to let the flavours meld.
- Combine cream, 1 tbsp maple syrup and remaining orange zest in another large bowl, then beat using a whisk or electric mixer until stiff peaks form, 2-3 min.
- Set aside in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- Remove waffles from packaging, then place waffles in a single layer on the middle rack of the oven until warmed through and crisp, 2-3 min
- Divide fruit salad and waffles between plates.
- Dollop maple chantilly cream over waffles, then drizzle remaining maple syrup over top, if desired.
