Cooking Steps

Cook cavatappi and prep

  • Add cavatappi to the boiling water. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until tender, 8-9 min.
  • Drain and return cavatappi to the same pot, off heat.
  • Meanwhile, finely grate zucchini.
Start sauce

  • Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat.
  • When hot, add 2 tbsp butter, then zucchini and peas. Cook, stirring often, until fragrant, 4-5 min.
  • Sprinkle Cream Sauce Spice Blend and half the garlic salt over veggies. Cook, stirring often, until toasted, 1 min.
  • Add milk and cream to the pan with veggies. Cook, stirring often, until sauce thickens slightly, 1-2 min.
Finish sauce

  • Slowly add cheese, stirring constantly, until combined, 1 min. Season with remaining garlic salt and pepper, then stir to combine.
  • Remove the pan from the heat.
Finish and serve

  • Add cavatappi to the pan with cheese sauce, then stir to combine.
  • Divide mac 'n' cheese between bowls.
