Cooking Steps

  • Before starting, preheat the oven to 450°F. Wash and dry all produce.
  • Juice half the lemon (whole lemon for 4 servings). Cut any remaining lemon into wedges.
  • Pat turkey dry with paper towels. Season with half of the Zesty Garlic Blend and pepper. (NOTE: If turkey steaks are thicker then 1-inch, place each piece on a cutting board and cover with plastic wrap. Using a rolling pin or heavy-bottomed pan, pound each turkey steak until 1-inch thick.)
Cook turkey

  • Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high. When hot, add 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) oil, then turkey. (NOTE: Don't crowd the pan; cook in 2 batches if needed.) Pan-fry for 1-2 min, flipping half way through, until golden. Transfer turkey to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Carefully wipe the pan clean.
  • In a medium bowl, add pesto, half the Parmesan, 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) lemon juice and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine. 
  • Spread pesto-mixture evenly over top of turkey and roast in the middle of the oven for 10-12 min, until cooked through.** 
Start Alfredo sauce

  • Heat the same pan over medium-high. When hot, add 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) butter, cream, remaining Zesty Garlic Blend, cream cheese and 1/4 cup (1/2 cup) water. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently, until cream cheese is melted. 
  • Add penne. Reduce heat to medium. Cook for 2-4 min, stirring occasionally, until penne is tender and coated. 
Finish pasta

  • Meanwhile, halve baby tomatoes.
  • To the pan with penne, add tomatoes and spinach. Cook for 2-3 min, stirring often, until spinach wilts and sauce is slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
Finish and serve

  • Divide pasta between plates.
  • Divide turkey over top of pasta.
  • Sprinkle remaining Parmesan over top. 
  • Squeeze a lemon wedge over top, if you like.
