Cooking Steps

1
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
  • Meanwhile, core, then cut pepper into 1/2-inch pieces.
  • When the pan is hot add peppers, turkey and Mexican Seasoning. Cook, breaking up turkey into smaller pieces, until no pink remains, 4-5 min.** Season with salt and pepper.
2
  • Add tomato sauce base. Cook, stirring often, until turkey mixture is coated, 1-2 min.
  • Add crushed tomatoes, half the garlic salt, 1 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup milk. Season with salt and pepper, then stir to combine. Bring to a boil over high heat.

3
  • Once boiling, reduce heat to medium, then add cavatappi. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until cavatappi is tender but still firm to the bite and pasta sauce has thickened, 12-13 min.
  • Remove the pan from heat, then stir in half the cheese.
  • Divide turkey taco pasta between bowls.
  • Sprinkle remaining cheese over top.
