Cooking Steps

Prep

  • Remove pizza dough from the fridge 1 hour before starting and set aside in a warm place to come to room temperature. 
    Remove 4 tbsp butter from the fridge and set aside to soften.
    Preheat the oven to 425ºF.
  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with 2 tsp oil, then line the base with parchment paper.
  • On a lightly-oiled surface, divide dough into 16 equal-sized pieces.

  • Flatten each piece of dough into a disc, then place 1/2 tbsp cheese in the middle. Pinch the edges of the dough together to form a seal, then roll each piece into a ball. Repeat with remaining dough balls and cheese.
  • Place dough balls in the prepared baking dish with even spacing between them.
  • Loosely cover the dish with plastic wrap.
  • Set aside in a warm spot for 20 minutes to rest.
Bake rolls

  • Whisk egg in a small bowl, then season with salt and pepper. Brush beaten egg over rolls. 
  • Bake rolls in the middle of the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden. 
  • Roughly chop parsley.
  • Add softened butter, 1/8 tsp garlic salt and 1 tbsp parsley to a small bowl. Season with pepper, then mix to combine.
Finish and serve

  • Place baking dish on a wire rack to cool for 5 minutes before removing rolls from the baking dish and transferring to a serving plate. 
  • Serve warm with garlic-herb butter on the side.
