Cooking Steps

1
  • Before starting, preheat the oven to 450°F.
    Wash and dry all produce.
  • Slice one tomato.
  • Cut remaining tomato into 1/4-inch pieces.
  • Have buns. Arrange buns on an unlined baking sheet, cut-sides up. Set aside.
  • To a small bowl, add cheddar cheese and cream cheese. Mix to combine.
2
  • To a medium bowl, add turkey, breadcrumbs, 2 tsp (4 tso) BBQ Sauce and 1/2 tsp (1 tsp) garlic salt. Season with pepper, then combine.
  • Form turkey-mixture into four (eight) 5-inch-wide patties.
  • Add cheese mixture to the center of 2 (4) patties, then top with remaining patties.
  • Firmly pinch edges of patties together to seal in cheese, then gently reshape into rounds.
3
  • Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat.
  • When hot, add 1/2 tsp (1 tbsp) oil, then burgers. Pan-fry until golden, 2-3 min per side.** (NOTE: Don't overcrowd the pan; cook burgers in 2 batches if needed.)
  • Transfer patties to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Divide remaining BBQ Sause over burgers.
  • Bake in the top of the oven until cooked through, 6-7 min.**
4
  • Meanwhile, toast for 3-4 min, until browned. (TIP: Keep an eye on them so they don't burn!)
5
  • Meanwhile, to a large bowl, add half the spring mix and chopped tomatoes. Drizzle over ranch, then toss to coat.
  • Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
6
  • Stack patties, then remaining spring mix and sliced tomatoes on bottom buns. Close with top buns.
  • Divide burgers and salad between plates.
