  • Cut bagels into 1-inch pieces.
  • Grease a 8x8-inch baking dish with 1 tbsp softened butter.
  • Whisk together cream, eggs, cinnamon, 1/4 tsp salt and half the brown sugar in a large bowl.
  • Add bagel pieces and sultanas, then stir to coat bread with liquid.
  • Transfer bread mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  • Cover baking dish with foil and bake in the middle of the oven for 30 min.
  • Carefully remove foil, then continue to bake until top is golden-brown, 10-15 min.
  • Meanwhile, heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. When hot, add pecans to the dry pan. Toast, stirring often, until golden-brown, 4-5 min. (TIP: Keep your eye on them so they don't burn!) Transfer to a plate.
  • Cut sausages at links and transfer to a foil-lined baking sheet.
  • Drizzle sausages with 1 tbsp oil.
  • When french toast bake has 15 minutes remaining, add sausages to the oven.
  • Bake in the bottom of the oven, flipping halfway through until juices run clear, 15-18 min.
  • Allow french toast bake to cool on a wire rack for 3-5 min before serving.
  • Divide between plates, sprinkle with toasted pecans and drizzle maple syrup over top.
  • Serve sausages alongside.
