Cooking Steps

  • Pre-heat a medium-size pot over medium-high heat.
  • Wash and dry produce.
  • Core, then cut pepper into 1/4-inch pieces.
  • Minced or grate garlic.
Cook Turkey

  • Add 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) oil to pot, then turkey. Cook 3-5 min, breaking up turkey into smaller pieces, until no pink remains.** Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add orzo, garlic, pepper, Italian Herb Spice Blend and pepper. Cook for 2 mins, stirring often.
  • Add pesto, tomato sauce, cream and 3 cups (5 1/2 cups) water, stir to combine, bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and cook for 10-12 min, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender.
Finish Orzo

  • Add half the parmesan and spinach to pot, stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
Finish and plate

  • Divide turkey orzo between bowls.
  • Sprinkle remaining Parmesan on top.
  • Squeeze lemon on top, if desired.
