Cooking Steps

Cook rice

  • Before starting, add stock powder, 1 1/4 cups (2 1/2 cups) water, and 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) butter to a medium pot. Cover and bring to a boil over high.
  • Wash and dry all produce.
  • Using a strainer, rinse rice until water runs clear.
  • To the boiling water, stir in rice and reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 13-15 min, until rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat. Set aside, still covered.

  • Thinly slice mushrooms.
  • Roughly chop spinach.
  • Pat turkey dry with paper towels. Cover each piece with plastic wrap. Using a mallet, rolling pin or heavy-bottomed pan, carefully pound each turkey piece until 1/2-inch thick. Season with salt and pepper.
Sear turkey

  • Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high.
  • When hot, add 1 tbsp oil to the pan, then turkey. Cook 2-4 min each side, until golden. (NOTE: It's okay if turkey doesn't cook through all the way in this step.)
  • Transfer turkey to a plate.
Cook veggies

  • Reheat the pan over medium-high.
  • Add 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) butter, then onions, peas and mushrooms.
  • Cook 3-5 min, stirring often, until tender and golden.
Make sauce and finish turkey

  • Sprinkle Cream Sauce Spice Blend over veggies. Stir to coat.
  • Stir in cream cheese and 1 cup (1 1/2 cups) water. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  • Add turkey, then reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook for 6-9 min, flipping turkey halfway, until cooked through.**
Finish and serve

  • Fluff rice with fork. Stir in spinach.
  • Thinly slice turkey.
  • Divide rice and turkey between plates.
  • Spoon sauce and veggies from the pan over turkey.
