Cooking Steps

  • Add 1 1/4 cups water, broth powder and 1 tbsp butter (dbl both for 4 ppl) to a medium pot. Cover and bring to a boil over high heat.
  • Once boiling, add rice, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, 12-14 min.
  • Remove from heat. Set aside, still covered.

  • Cut mushrooms into 1/2-inch pieces.

  • Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
  • While pan heats, pat turkey dry with a paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  • When hot, add 1 tbsp oil to the pan, then turkey. Cook, flipping halfway until golden-brown on each side, 1-2 min. (NOTE: It's okay if turkey doesn't cook all the way through in this step.)
  • Transfer turkey to a plate.

  • Return pan to medium-high.
  • Add 1 tbsp butter (dbl for 4 ppl), then onions, peas and mushrooms.
  • Cook, stirring often until tender (golden-brown?).

  • Sprinkle gravy spice blend over veggies and stir to coat.
  • Add _____ cup water. Bring to a simmer.
  • Add turkey and reduce heat to medium. (Cover?) cook, flipping halfway until turkey is cooked through, 4-5 min.**

  • Fluff rice with fork.
  • Divide rice, veggies and turkey between plates.
