Cooking Steps

Prep
1
  • Before starting, preheat the broiler to high. Wash and dry all produce.
  • Tear cibatta into 1/2-inch pieces. To a large bowl, add ciabatta pieces and 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) oil. Season with salt and pepper, then toss to coat. Set aside.
  • Strip 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) thyme leaves from stems.
  • Peel, then mince or grate garlic.
  • Core, then cut apple into 1/4-inch pieces.
Cook turkey
2
  • Heat a large oven-proof pan over medium-high.
  • When hot, add 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) butter, turkey, garlic, mirepoix and half the thyme. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook for 4-6 min, stirring often and breaking up turkey into smaller pieces, until cooked through and no pink remains.**
  • Transfer turkey mixture to a medium bowl. Set aside.
Cook squash and apples
3
  • Reheat the same pan over medium. Add 1 tbsp oil, then butternut squash. Cook for 3-4 min, stirring often, until butternut squash is tender-crisp. (NOTE: For 4 servings, cook in batches using 1 tbsp oil for each batch.)
  • Add apples. Cook for 3-4 min, stirring often, until veggies have softened.
Assemble stuffing bake
4
  • To the pan with veggies, add turkey mixture, stock powder, garlic spread and cream. Cook for 1 min, stirring often, until combined.
  • Remove the pan from heat. Top with ciabatta pieces, then sprinkle remaining thyme over top.
Finish and serve
5
  • Carefully transfer the pan to the middle of the oven.
  • Broil for 2-3 min, until ciabatta is golden.
  • Divide stuffing-topped ground turkey between bowls.
  • Dollop cranberry spread over top.

Customer reviews

Review summary

Updated on Feb 2026
  • Flavor: Many loved the festive Thanksgiving-inspired flavors, with some suggesting adding poultry seasoning or sage for extra depth.
  • Ease of prep: Quick and easy to make, though some found the squash cooking time needed to be longer than stated.
  • Suggestions: Consider toasting the ciabatta separately and adding at the end to prevent sogginess; try sweet potato if squash isn't fresh.
  • Portions: Some found the portions quite small and wished for more bread or vegetables in the mix.
  • Texture: A few noted the bread became mushy underneath; broiling the top helped create a crispy contrast.
