Cooking Steps

Cook noodles
1
  • Before starting, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high (use same for 4 servings).
  • Wash and dry all produce.
  • To the boiling water, add noodles. Cook for 1-3 min, stirring occasionally, until tender but still firm to the bite.
  • Reserve 1/2 cup (1 cup) noodle water.
  • Strain and rinse noodles with warm water. Set aside in the strainer.
  • Carefully wipe the pot dry.
Cook turkey
2
  • In the same pot, heat 1/2 tbsp (1 tbsp) oil over medium-high.
  • When hot, add 1 tbsp (2tbsp) oil, then turkey and half the gochugaru chili flakes (use all for 4 servings). Cook for 3-5 min, breaking up beef into smaller pieces, until no pink remains.**
  • Meanwhile, to a medium bowl, add oyster sauce, ginger-garlic puree, sesame oil and reserved noodle water. Stir to combine. (NOTE: This is your sauce.)
Cook veggies
3
  • To the same pot, add carrots and cabbage. Cook for 3-4 min, stirring occasionally, until veggies soften. Season with Asian Sesame Blend, salt and pepper.
  • Meanwhile, thinly slice green onions.
Finish noodles
4
  • To the turkey and veggies, add noodles, half the green onions and the sauce mixture (from step 2). Cook for 1-2 min, stirring occasionally, until coated. Season with salt and pepper.
Finish and serve
5
  • Divide Korean turkey and noodles between bowls.
  • Sprinkle crispy shallots and remaining green onions over top.
6

If you've opted to get turkey, add 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) oil to the pan, then add turkey. Cook turkey in the same way the recipe instructs you to cook the beef.**
