Cooking Steps

1
  • To a medium pot, add 1 cup (2 cups) water, 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) butter and half the garlic salt. Cover and bring to a boil over high.
  • Using a strainer, rinse rice until water runs clear. 4To the boiling water, add rice, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 12-15 min, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  • Remove from heat. Set aside, still covered.
2
  • Meanwhile, thinly slice green onion, keeping white and green parts separate.
  • Trim snowpeas.
  • Core, then cut pepper into 1/4-inch slices.
  • Pat turkey dry with paper towels. On another cutting board, cut into 2-inch pieces. Season with remaining garlic salt and pepper.
3
  • Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high. When hot, add 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) oil, then peppers and snowpeas. Cook for 3-4 min, stirring occasionally, until tender.
  • Add green onion whites. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 1 min, stirring often, until fragrant.
  • Remove veggies to plate. Loosely cover with foil to keep warm.
4
  • Reheat the same pan over medium. When hot, add 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) butter, then turkey. Cook for 3-4 min per side, until golden and cooked through.**
  • Add soy sauce and honey. Cook for 1 min, stirring often, until glazed and coated.
5
  • Divide rice, chicken and veggies between plates.
  • Sprinkle with remaining green onions.
