Cooking Steps

Prep

  • Before starting, preheat the oven to 450°F. Wash and dry all produce.
  • Cut mushrooms into 1/4-inch slices.
  • Roughly chop spinach.
  • Thinly slice chives.
  • Peel then finely mince or grate garlic.
Cook pork

  • Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high.
  • Pat pork dry with paper towels. Season with half the Zesty Garlic Blend and pepper.
  • When hot, add 1/2 tbsp (1 tbsp) oil, then pork. Pan-fry for 1-2 min per side, until golden. 
  • Remove from heat, then transfer pork to an unlined baking sheet. 
  • Roast in middle of the oven for 7-10 min, until cooked through.**
  • Carefully wipe the pan clean.
Cook mushroom sauce

  • Meanwhile, reheat the same pan over medium-high. When hot, add 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) butter and mushrooms. Cook for 4-5 min, stirring occasionally, until softened.
  • Add garlic, beef concentrate and Cream Sauce Spice Blend. Cook for 1 min, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
  • Add cream cheese, remaining Zesty Garlic Blend and 1 cup (2 cup) water. Season with salt and pepper. 
  • Simmer for 1-2 min, stirring often, until sauce has slightly thickened.
Cook rice

  • Meanwhile, massage the pouch of rice to separate grains.
  • Heat rice in the microwave for 2 min, as indicated on the back of the package. (NOTE: If you don’t have a microwave, stir-fry rice in a hot non-stick pan with a splash of water for 3 min, until heated through.)
Finish rice

  • To the pan with mushrooms, add rice, half the chives and spinach. Season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Cook for 1-2 min, stirring often, until spinach is wilted.
Finish and serve

  • Thinly slice pork chops. Add any resting juices to rice.
  • Divide rice between bowls and top with pork chops.
  • Sprinkle remaining chives over top.
