Cooking Steps

  • Peel, then cut onion into 1/4-inch slices.
  • Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, Gravy Spice Blend and 1/4 cup (1/2 cup) water.
  • Set aside.

  • Drain and rinse shrimp, then pat dry with paper towels.
  • Sprinkle over Moo Shu Spice Blend, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Toss to combine.
  • Set aside.

  • Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
  • When hot, add 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) oil, then broccoli, 1/4 cup (1/2 cup) water and garlic puree.
  • Cook for 3-4 min, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp and water has evaporated.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Transfer to a medium bowl, then cover to keep warm.

  • To the same pan, add 1/2 tbsp (1 tbsp) oil, then onions.
  • Cook for 2-3 min, stirring occasionally, until softened.
  • Add shrimp.
  • Cook for 2-3 min, stirring occasionally, until shrimp just turn pink.**
  • Add soy-oyster sauce and broccoli to the pan.
  • Cook for 3-4 min, stirring often, until sauce thickens slightly.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Remove from heat.

  • Meanwhile, to the boiling water, add chow mein noodles. Cook for 1-2 min, uncovered, until tender. 
  • Drain noodles, then rinse under warm water.
  • Return noodles to the same pot, off heat. Add 1/2 tsp (1 tbsp) oil, then gently toss to coat. 
  • Set aside.

  • Divide chow mein noodles between bowls.
  • Top with shrimp broccoli.
