Instructions

Toast chips

  • Arrange tortilla chips on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 1/2 tbsp oil, then season with 1/2 tsp garlic salt. Season with pepper, then toss to coat.
  • Bake in the middle of the oven until warmed through, 2-3 min.
Prep and make dip

  • Thinly slice chives.
  • Halve, peel, then finely chop shallot.
  • Add sour cream, mayonnaise, chopped shallots, half the chives, 1/4 tsp garlic salt, 1/8 tsp sugar and 1/8 tsp pepper to a medium serving bowl. Stir to combine.
Finish and serve

  • Place bowl with the dip in the middle of a large platter or board. Sprinkle crispy shallots and remaining chives over top. (TIP: You can make the dip a couple hours in advance and store in the fridge until ready to serve to let the flavours meld!)
  • Arrange chips around the bowl with the dip. (TIP: Serve alongside your favourite veggies if desired!)
