Cooking Steps

Prep

  • Cut tomato into 1/4-inch pieces. 
  • Thinly slice lettuce.
  • Drain pickle juice into a small bowl. Set aside .
  • Roughly chop pickles. 
  • Peel, then cut onion into 1/4-inch pieces. 
Cook turkey

  • In a large non-stick pan, heat 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) oil over medium-high. When the pan is hot, add turkey and onions. Cook for 3-5 min, breaking up turkey into smaller pieces, until no pink remains.**
  • Add Applewood Smoke Spice and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 1 min, stirring often, until fragrant. Season with salt and pepper.
Warm Tortillas

  • Meanwhile, wrap tortillas in foil, then place in the top of the oven for 4-5 min until warm. (TIP: You can skip this step if you don't want to warm the tortillas.)
Make burger sauce

  • To the small bowl with pickle juice, add ketchup, mayo and dijon. Season with salt and pepper, then stir to combine. 
Finish and Serve

  • Divide Tortillas between plates. Top with turkey mixture, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and crispoy shallots.
  • Drizzle burger sauce over top.
