Instructions

Make chunky tomato soup

  • Combine crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce base, cream, 1/2 tsp sugar and 1/4 tsp garlic salt in a medium pot over medium heat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until warmed through, 5-6 min. .
  • Cover and reduce heat to low until ready to serve.
Assemble grilled cheese

  • Meanwhile, arrange parmesan garlic toast slices on clean work surface.
  • Sprinkle cheese evenly over four slices, pressing gently to adhere. Close with remaining four slices.
Cook grilled cheese

  • Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat. When hot, add two sandwiches to the pan and cook until golden-brown, 3-4 minute per side. 
  • Transfer grilled cheese to a plate.
  • Carefully wipe pan clean with paper towels, then repeat with remaining grilled cheese.
Finish and serve

  • Halve grilled cheese sandwiches, then divide between plates. 
  • Divide chunky tomato soup between bowls.
