Cooking Steps

Prep veggies
1
  • Before starting, lightly oil the grill. While you prep, preheat the grill to medium-high (approx. 500°F). Wash and dry all produce.
  • Halve zucchini lengthwise.
  • Halve pepper, then core.
  • Soak skewers in water for at least 5 min.
  • To a baking sheet, add peppers and zucchini. Brush with 1/2 tbsp (1 tbsp) oil. Season with salt and pepper, then toss to coat. Set aside.
Prep potatoes
2
  • Place potatoes in microwave, still in their packaging, seam-side up. Microwave for 6-7 min, until potatoes are tender.
  • To a medium bowl, add potatoes, 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) oil and half the Montreal Spice Blend. Toss to coat.
Prep steak and make sauce
3
  • To a small bowl, add ketchup, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and 1/2 tsp (1 tsp) sugar. Stir to combine. (NOTE: This is your steak sauce!)
  • Pat steak dry with paper towels, then cut into 1-inch pieces. Season with remaining Montreal Spice Blend.
  • To a large bowl, add half the steak sauce and steak pieces. Stir to coat, then thread steak onto skewers.
  • Grab skewers, potatoes, veggies and a clean plate, then head out to grill!
Grill veggies
4
  • To one side of the grill, add peppers and zucchini. Close lid and grill for 9-12 min, flipping once, until veggies are tender.
  • When veggies have been flipped, add potatoes to the other side of the grill. Cook for 2-3 min per side, until skins are crispy.
  • Remove from grill and transfer veggies and potatoes to the same baking sheet (from step 1).
Grill steak skewers
5
  • Add steak skewers to the grill. Cook for 2-3 min, until cooked on one side with grill marks.
  • Flip skewers. Cook for 2-3 min, until cooked to desired doneness.**
  • Transfer skewers to a clean plate, then cover to keep warm.
Finish and serve
6
  • Thinly slice chives.
  • To a small bowl, add sour cream and half the chives. Season with salt and pepper, then stir to combine.
  • Halve potatoes and slice veggies.
  • Divide steak skewers, potatoes and veggies between plates.
  • Dollop chive sour cream over potatoes.
  • Sprinkle remaining chives over veggies.
  • Serve the small bowl of remaining steak sauce on the side for dipping.

If you've opted for double steak, prep and cook in the same way the recipe instructs you to prep and cook the regular portion of steak. Work in batches, if necessary.
