In this Privacy Policy, the words “we”, “us”, “our” and similar expressions refer to HelloFresh Canada Inc., a British Columbia company that is the operator of the website www.hellofresh.ca and our related mobile applications in Canada (“our Site”). This Privacy Policy is applicable to persons who access our Site on the internet or access our Site or services via any web application, mobile application or other platform or device.

By visiting or accessing our Site and/or our services, you acknowledge and agree that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy, and consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. In most cases, we will ask you to provide explicit consent (through agreeing to a revised version of this Privacy Policy) if we intend to collect, use or disclose your personal information other than as described in this Privacy Policy, however sometimes your consent may be implied through your conduct with us.

If you do not want us to collect this information, do not download our mobile applications or delete them from your devices. We also may use these technologies to collect information about your activities over time and across third-party websites, apps or other online services (behavioral tracking).

IP addresses, cookies and disclosure to third party social media, advertising, and service providers We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This aggregate information is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual. For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using cookies (a cookie is a small text file that is saved on the hard drive of your computer). Cookies help us to improve our Site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. They enable us:

You can visit this site to opt out of AdRoll and their partners’ targeted advertising. Facebook collects certain information via cookies to determine which web pages are visited. This data is then used to associate your browser with interest and demographic categories, and serve Facebook ads based on your past visits to this Site. Please note that any information collected by Facebook via cookies is not linked to any customer's personal information collected by us. On this Site, data for marketing and optimization purposes is collected and stored by Webtrekk GmbH (“Webtrekk”), Robert-Koch-Platz 4, 10115 Berlin, Deutschland ( link to website). This data is used to create a user profile under a pseudonym, and cookies may be used for this purpose. Your IP address is anonymized, saved and sent, making it impossible to identify you via your IP address. The collected data is deleted once there is no longer a need to save it for analytical purposes, or upon the request of the user. For more information regarding how Webtrekk collects data, you may find their privacy policy here. For exclusion from Webtrekk tracking, a cookie named “webTrekkOptOut” from the domain webtrekk.net is used. This tracking opt-out is active as long as this cookie is not deleted. To activate this opt-out, please visit this site. Integrated on our webpages are plugins from Facebook. These Facebook-plugins are indicated by the Facebook-logo or the “Like-Button” on our website. You can find an overview of the Facebook-plugins here. When you visit our Site, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server through the plugin. Through this connection, Facebook is informed that you have visited our Site using your IP address. Should you click the Facebook “Like-Button” while logged into your Facebook account, you can link the contents of our Site to your Facebook profile. In this way Facebook can link your visit to our Site to your user account. We have no influence on the contents of the data you transmit to Facebook or its use by Facebook. In order to avoid your user account being linked to the data passed on to Facebook, you must be logged out of your Facebook account. Integrated on our webpages are functions of the social service Twitter. These functions are provided by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. By using Twitter and the “Re-Tweet” function, the Sites you have visited are linked to your Twitter account and made known to other Twitter users. In this process data is also entrusted to Twitter. This site uses Mitaa Data, 5-4350 Castleton Road, London ON N6N 0A3. When a device visiting this website has allowed location services, the Mitaa determines a probable postal mailing address from which the website was viewed. If the Mitaa determines that the address of the device is a location of marketing interest, it will send a postal mailer on behalf of the client. No person(s) associated with specific devices are ever determined and Mitaa does not collect or use personal information, nor do brochures mention a website visit as the reason for solicitation. We rely on third party analytics companies and customer notification & relationship management service providers to monitor, provide and improve our mobile applications and the delivery of our Services.

The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites, apps and other online services websites. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content.
We do not control these third parties' tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

Where we store your personal data
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside of Canada (including in particular, in the United States and in countries in the European Economic Area). It may also be processed by staff operating outside Canada who work for us, for one of our affiliated companies or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the fulfillment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. If you do not want us to use your data in this way, or to pass your details on to third parties for marketing purposes, please tick the relevant box situated on the form on which we collect your data (the order form or registration form). We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target. We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience. Disclosure of your information We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, in furtherance of the purposes set forth above, and as reasonably required to manage our business. You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. Our Site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Access to information Canadian federal and provincial privacy legislation (“Privacy Laws”) give you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with applicable Privacy Laws. Any access request may be subject to a fee of $10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
