HelloFresh Subscriptions

Are you a subscription service?
Yes, we run a flexible subscription service where you can change or amend your order if you want to take a break... just let us know by the 11:59PM EST DEADLINE on Wednesday before the following week's delivery (Tuesday-Wednesday), so we can let our fresh suppliers know.
Is there a minimum subscription length?
Nope, there is no minimum length for HelloFresh subscriptions.
How do I deactivate my subscription?
Deactivating your subscription is easy. You just need to go to login to your account and follow these steps:
  • 1. Click on Your Subscriptions in the menu to the left
  • 2. If there you have more than one subscription, choose the subscription you'd like to cancel
  • 3. Scroll down and click on the Cancel my subscription link on the right side
  • 4. Follow the steps to cancel
  • 5. You will receive an email confirming your cancellation, please retain this for future reference.
Can I put my subscription on pause?
Definitely. If you're traveling or would like to hold your subscription for any reason, simply log into your account and manage your subscription right there. Or email us at hello@hellofresh.ca and we will take care of it for you! Just make sure that you make these changes prior to Wednesday at 11:59PM EST for the following week's Tuesday-Wednesday delivery.
How much will I be charged each week?
3 Meal Pronto Box for Two - $79.99
3 Meal Pronto Box for Four - $139.99
3 Meal Family Box for Four - $129.99
When will I be charged?
Once you sign up for your first HelloFresh box you will be charged right away. For all subsequent deliveries you will be charged the Thursday prior for Tuesday-Wednesday deliveries.

Our Plans

Can I choose my meals?
Yes. You can do so in the My Meals section of your account.
Do you offer vegetarian plans?
We are working on a vegetarian box and will be releasing the menu soon!
Do you offer plans for people with special dietary requirements?
While we don't offer specific dietary plans, because our ingredients are delivered to you in separate packets, if you have any specific dislikes you can simply omit or replace these ingredients from a recipe.
Do you offer plans for singles?
Our entry level subscription feeds 2 people. We have many single-person households as customers who chose the 3-meal plan for 2 people, and gain eternal popularity with their friends or have amazing leftovers for lunch!

Delivery

Where do you deliver?
We deliver to Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and the Maritimes. More information here.
When do you deliver?
We deliver on Tuesday and Wednesday of each week. Deliveries typically arrive between 9am-5pm.
What if I am not at home to accept the delivery?
Not to worry! If you are not home during delivery, our courier will drop the box off at your front door (or wherever you specify in your Delivery Instructions).

If you live in an area where a box cannot be easily left, we suggest one of the following solutions:
  • Provide the address of a helpful neighbor that will be home during the delivery window and can accept your package for you.
  • If you live in an apartment building or condominium, ask your concierge to receive the box for you, or give buzzer instructions to the courier via the Delivery Instructions to leave the box safely inside the building lobby or hallway.
  • Have the box delivered to your work place.
  • Have the box delivered to a nearby business or restaurant that won't mind you picking up the box at a later time that day.
How does the food stay fresh in transit?
We have specially designed boxes that we pack with a nice, thick liner and ice packs to ensure that everything arrives to you perfectly cold!
How much does delivery cost?
It’s free, silly! You subscribe and delivery is on us!

Miscellaneous

Will my groceries stay fresh for the week?
Your groceries will stay fresh for the duration of the week. Our recipes are created using ingredients that stay fresh long enough for you to enjoy them in the week you have received them. If we include ingredients that need to be used sooner rather than later (such as fish) we will suggest that you prepare them at the beginning of the week.
Where do you get your recipes?
HelloFresh works closely on recipe development with a team of in-house chefs. Our dietitians ensure you get a balanced meal on the table!
Why is HelloFresh a healthy option?
Cooking with fresh ingredients helps you stay healthy and beats any type of convenience food, frozen food or fast food. By preparing your meals with fresh ingredients you ensure that important nutrients aren't lost. Since our chefs and nutritionists create and select recipes on a weekly basis, they are able to ensure that your diet is balanced and provides all the nutrients you need for a healthy lifestyle.
How many calories do your meals have?
Roughly speaking, our meals contain anywhere from 500-800 calories each.
Which ingredients do you assume I have at home?
All you need to have available at home is salt, pepper, sugar, a good cooking oil, and butter. We'll give you the rest!
